Dear Friends of NW Documentary,
The date has been set! Eloquent Nude: the Love and Legacy of Edward
Weston & Charis Wilson will premiere on March 8, 2007 at 7 pm in the
Whitsell Auditorium at the Portland Art Museum.
Two years in the making, the film chronicles the relationship between
Charis and Edward as artist and muse, husband and wife. It is a story
of the coming of age of a young girl, of artistic expression soaring
to new heights. It is a love story.
This elegant evening will be replete with a panel discussion
afterwards with Q and A. The director of the film, Ian McCluskey, will
participate on the panel. As an added bonus, original Weston prints
from the art museum's collection will be on display. This will be a
wonderful viewing opportunity for many people who have never seen an
original print. Reception to follow.
Ticket sales will be handled through the NW Film Center. The cost is
$7/adult, $6/students & seniors. They can be purchased online at:
http://www.nwfilm.org/nowshowing/
* Internet orders are for advanced ticketing only and aren't available
day of show: on the day of the show, you can ONLY get tickets at the
door. Tickets go on sale 30 minutes before the show starts.
Look forward to seeing you all there!
Jessica Martin
Director of Friends of NW Documentary
